Show Reviews

Published on by Kuenn

This section will possibly be the busiest of the blogs. We have a host of shows and events set for the 2014 show season. Starting of with some shots from the last show we did at the 4 States Truck Show in Joplin Missouri, in October 2013. We will be showing some shots from shows like Walcott Jamboree, Waupun truck Jamboree, and even the Louisville truck shows past and present. With years of exposure to these events I am blessed to be able to bring this section of our site to you.

Take a moment to look this area over, as we will be bringing you to the events as we work them. Some of the shows are 2 to 3 days long and the outside rigs change daily. You never really know what’s up at any given time! We will be giving reviews from inside and outside the shows, and we all know if you have attended any truck show some of the nicest rigs are off location, just sitting alone waiting to be discovered.

We will be providing updates and interviews with some of the vendors, show trucks, and even spectators as they visit with us. Welcome to the new visual experience of Elegance on Eighteen Wheels 2014 season.

Behind the Scenes at EEW Magazine

Published on by Kuenn

In this section of the site we will be going that extra mile to share with you some of the behind the scenes action so you can see how it all comes together. Shots that would not end up on the pages of the magazine but tell the story of what goes on while we’re putting this all together. On location shots from the shows, interviews with the owners, video footage, and more. We do a lot of special events and some never get to be viewed by the general public. This gives us an opportunity to share with our audience news and occurrences that may not have been broadly communicated about the event.

This will be a new level of exposure for us and I think it will be good for you the enthusiast or lovers of trucks to really see the action we witness while bringing this great publication to you. Show shots, road shots, hotel accommodation and reviews, some of the things most magazines over look. We have upcoming shoots at events associational with movies, TV show and more. I think this will make EEW Magazine more exciting than ever!

Taking EEW To a New Level

Published on by Kuenn

In 2014 we are looking to enhance Elegance on Eighteen Wheels to a new level of entertainment, beginning with this site. Giving you more opportunities to experience the visual delights of the trucking world online. We hope to have more interactive functions for the general public to post comments and photos, allowing us to become more connected to our readers.

We will be attending more shows in 2014 both indoor and outdoor. Look for our tent with the Elegance on Eighteen wheels logo, and swing by and get your souvenirs, subscriptions, magazines, cards, and more. This is just the beginning of a great season of big rigs. We will also be posting photos of the adventures and activities of the staff at different events. Stay tuned in to this site to get the inside view and behind the scenes action at the shows we are attending. We are working hard to bring you one of the most exciting publications of trucks that the world has to offer. With our experience of showcasing some of the sharpest rigs on the road today, we are able to do what we do best…build dreams and shine the spotlight on those who are realizing their dreams through trucking.

Upcoming Events

Published on by Kuenn

The 2014 show season is almost upon us. We’re starting to gear up for the upcoming show at Mid-West truck show in Peoria Il in January. We will be exhibiting the latest issues of the print magazine there for the first time at this show in a 10 x 10 booth. Both individual issues and subscriptions will be available for purchase at that time. For your viewing pleasure, we will be posting some of the action associated with that function.

This is the introduction to the show season. Annually, we attend the Louisville truck show, also known as the MATS. This is the biggest show in the country, the godfather of all the truck shows. We will be celebrating our anniversary of the magazine at this location and look forward to meeting, greeting, and welcoming everyone to our booth #60085. It’s located in the west wing of the venue, inside and adjacent from the pride and polish show. We will be identifying amazing equipment and scheduling photo shoots for upcoming issues. Stop by and say hello, and pick up the latest issue of EEW Magazine as a souvenir of your visit. We’re looking forward to meeting you all. Show us your rig, and we will show it to the world! Your truck may end up on the pages of our print publication or website! Mark you calendars, and we’ll see you there.

Big Rig Profile

Published on by Kuenn

Dave Kaiser of Oberlin, Ohio had this 2000 Kenworth W-900L conventional that was one of the most impressive KW’s of that era. The truck was parked right our front the Dallas truck show in 2000 and was the talk of the show. The big KW featured one of most explosive paint schemes of the show. Sitting on a 330” wheelbase and having a huge 3406 cat engine producing 550 hp and that’s just the start of the introduction.

The cab was fully loaded with all the instruments needed to over see the smooth operation of this powerhouse rig. The 22” bumper signified a far advanced magnitude of design, making this a true highway palace.

Well I know you noticed that big living area called the sleeper on back of this beast. Well that’s a 144” Double Eagle sleeper with all the amenities any trucker could dream of. Everything from the shower to kitchen sink! This is just an example of the trucks we will be featuring in this section of the site and will keep you posted on some of the rigs not shown in the print version of the magazine. Nonetheless worthy of print, but since we only have so many pages in the magazine, we have channeled this to our blog area. This new avenue gives our readers the chance to voice your comments on the trucks presented, thus giving us an opportunity to hear your inputs on the vehicles that you like in the industry. Thanks again and stay tuned to this site to satisfy your big rig appetites!

Celebrating Our First Year!

Published on by Kuenn

In my upcoming editorial I will be thanking all of the good folks that believed in my vision for this publication. We have a big year planned for EEW Magazine. There are more shows that we will be attending, more awesome rigs we will b e featuring and more educational profiles to reveal.

One of the greatest things about this past year is the people and machines we have featured. From Optimus Prime Peterbilt to 3d modeling, we have had a blast shooting and interviewing the owners and introducing our readers to their prestigious rigs. Nothing feels as good as being part of the team that brought you some of the best of the best in the trucking industry.

Reflecting back on some of the big rigs is the coolest feeling. Imagine being in the presence of David Helmuth and his big red Peterbilt hauling one of the worlds’ most iconic trademarks, the Wells Fargo stagecoach and horses. Or meeting Mark and Teri Hoyt and their 2005 379x Peterbilt, seeing some of the exotic cars they haul in their black stallion team. Now when it comes to showing out deep and dirty, there’s Don Mitchell and his big Harley Davidson Kenworth W-900 hauling sand and dirt in Michigan. This just covered the first few issues. There’s still Dave Glass and his corvette transporter, Quad Graphics’ big Peterbilt and of course, the Paragon Industries tri-axles KW hauling the pleasure cruiser wrapped in a sea of black paint. This is just the beginning! Boy, do we have more to show you. Watch out for us in 2014. We have many more treasures to share with you.
